A Red Beret And A Leather Skirt

There are some clothing and accessory items that make me feel like I am embodying my truest self when I wear them. I understand that sentence is a little dramatic but do you ever put an outfit on that suits you so much that you look at yourself and think, I just feel like me?

I know I do and whenever I see a dress, hat or outfit that embodies my style, I call it an “Amanda outfit”. The outfit in this post is definitely an “Amanda Outfit”.

I have long had an affinity for turtleneck sweaters (which can read about here) because I have always found them to be flattering. Have a large chest it is sometimes challenging to find shirts that are form-fitting without looking risque which is why turtleneck sweaters are a favourite. Turtleneck sweaters have the right amount coverage and the right amount of style, they also pair really well with skirts.

I absolutely love this skirt and can visual myself wearing it with a million different looks. The rose appliques give the tough leather skirt a flirty and feminine touch. It does have to be Valentine’s Day in order to wear a flirtatious, fashion piece.

I have a special place in my heart for berets because when I was a little girl my adorable Grandmother would always wear a beret and I remember always thinking how glamorous she looked. I also like this red beret because it matches my red lipstick which always makes me feel like I am wearing a look that feels just like me.
