I love a theme and lucky for me, this year Canada is celebrating its 150th birthday which means I have an excuse to wear red and white everything! Red is my favourite colour after all LOL.
Aside from being excited about my outfit on the big day, I am really happy to be celebrating this momentous day in Canadian history.
I have some great memories of Canada Day celebrations in the past such as the year I wore the Canadian flag as a skirt or the year I spent the day chilling out on the Thompson Hotel rooftop.
My most memorable Canada Day is from Canada’s 125th birthday when my neighbourhood had a block party. We had festivities such as, bicycle races, musical chairs, face painting and, a pie eating contest! It was so much fun. My grandfather led the singing of O Canada and even printed commemorative t-shirts for everyone, I still have my T-Shirt!
I have travelled to many places in the world and while each city has had something wonderful to offer, I am happy to call Canada home. Whether you will be celebrating Canada’s 150 at a barbecue, at the beach, watching fireworks or in your backyard, I recommend wearing your Canadian love in red and white
