Living in Emerald Style For St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day is almost here which means it is time to break out the green outfits and accessories. I don’t usually celebrate St. Patrick’s Day but this year I am making an exception.

Being that St. Patrick’s Day is a day of celebration and fun, I thought that I would wear something that mirrors that feeling of excitement. I love to take advantage of any opportunity I have to dress up. Life is short so why not have fun getting all dolled up? And to be honest sometimes planning my outfit for a certain occasion is more fun than the actual occasion. LOL.

For this St. Patrick’s Day outfit I decided to go my good old faithful green sequin skirt. This skirt just says party to me and has been one of my go-to pieces whenever I go out for a night of fun. The length is just right for a miniskirt – not too mini. I love the way this skirt looks when paired with black tights and black booties because the dark shade really allows the green sequins to shine.

For my top, I decided to have some fun with texture play and wear a black velvet blouse. I am loving the velvet trend. Velvet is so luxurious and wearing this soft fabric makes me feel stylish and cozy all at the same time. The sheen of this velvet top is a nice complement to the sequin skirt.

When it came to choosing my accessories, I decided to go gold and bold. Gold is the perfect metallic shade to wear for a going out look because it’s bright and eye-catching. Also, it’s not to the same celebrating a touch of Irish culture without having your own pot of gold. My green cocktail ring is one of my favourites because it adds glamour to whichever outfit I wear with it.
